Welcome to Navigators One, as per our introduction letters, we are Jane Williams, Catherine Dalley and Sheryl Burgess

 What we value

 Using our school values as the base:
We believe in developing confident, caring and self managing individuals
 We encourage students to have a growth mindset and to be able to work collaboratively with others. We would like to promote strong home/school partnerships through good communication so we value your communication and your knowledge of your own children.
We know that we need to work together positively to encourage your children’s development in all areas.
We value each child’s input into their own learning and the contributions that they make to our pod.. We value each child as an individual and aim to move them forward socially, emotionally, academically and physically.

 How you can help

 Do share with us anything you think we should know; your child’s successes, concerns and any worries you may have with regard to your child.
We encourage your child to read every day or you to read to them when possible. Research shows that daily reading will improve a child’s reading.
We would love you to spend regular time with your children learning basic facts and times tables as this is a foundation for future mathematical success. Study ladder mathematics will also be available to them as part of home learning
A spelling list will be included in the home learning notebook each week and a self checking sheet will sit alongside this.
 Each child has their own gmail account which is to be for school use only. Please ensure your child is following safe practises when on line at home as we do at school.
 We thank you for your support in having your child come to school ready and eager to learn each day. Do contact us or the office if you know your child is going to be away.
Please also check that your personal contact details are up to date at the office should we need to reach you.
We thank you in advance for signing up to help us with our class trips and camp in Term 3!!
