Poetry Week 2

 Autumn by Sebastian

Trees with fiery leaves wave at the people and animals passing by
The wind carefully undresses the trees
As the sun takes its time to wake  up
Cold breezes dance around the people
The embers from tired trees slowly fall to the ground
Autumn goes unnoticed until she breathes her cold breath
The wind slapping at the leaves
The soft songs of Autumn ringing in the morning air
Birds fly away from the cold air
But when the time comes
For Autumn

To leave and make way for winter to come

Emerald leaves set fire
Turning velvet red, sunburst yellow and glistening orange
Glowing embers glide down like elegant feathers
From the strong rough tree
Gently landing on the moist wet grass

Suddenly the wind aggressively curves around the corner
Starting a crackling tornado
Gathering embers like a giant vacuum cleaner
Grabbing everything in its path
Flinging leaves recklessly

Finally the wind stops
Revealing a giant pile of leaves
Perfect for jumping on

 Autumn

The leaves are like thieves in there runaway plane

the sunlight disappears into the dark with its last glimpse of light
cold, blue rain falls on the cold striped trees
the stars start to dance and sing merrily  in their happy homes

By Oliver
Here is Autumn
Howling winds
Skim the treetops
And shaves there crimson locks
The leaves start crying
 Emerald leaves slowly dying
Soggy cornflake leaves
Pile up in masses
Night goes by
The morning comes
The last leaf slowly drops
Closer
Closer to the ground
When it hits
I know what has come
Autumn
It has arrived

By Lara
 The Autumn ghost
The autumn ghost whirls
Through spindly branches and down chimneys,
Ripping the leaves off shivering trees,
Their bare limbs waving, as if begging for mercy
At the feet of the unforgiving autumn ghost.
Her long auburn hair
Waves  along behind,
twisting, turning,around her
like a doting companion.
A howling wind whirls
Fiery red and sunburst yellow leaves around,
Coaxing them closer and stripping the trees bare
The autumn Ghost lurks outside houses,
Waiting for a foolish human being
to stray from the warm, cosy, house
Then she pounces
Her golden-yellow leaves
Whirl around them,
Her biting wind  nipping at their faces
Forcing them to retreat back inside.
The autumn ghost
OpensThe door to Winter
Who coldly breezes in, before opening the door to the
Warmer Seasons,
Who cheerfully come through,
Before leaving through the door,

Unleashing the Fiery Autumn once more.

Autumn Leaves
Leaves of Golden, Red ,Yellow and Orange
Cover the ground like a blanket
They futter and fall from towering gentle giants
Scattering all around

Ayla wood
Autumn leaves
Autumn leaves,
tree sap yellow and crab apple red,
Fall from the trees,
Forming a crunchy crackling scarlet bed.
The wind blows,
the air starts to get cold,
As winter draws nearer and nearer.
The leaves start to quiver,
And lift of the ground,
They srirl up in the air,
the shape of a mini tornado,
Then they sway gently to the ground,
Scattering around,
In the gentle autumn breeze.

Autumn Poem

Jett

Woo woo the strong wind is blowing
brown coloured leaves away from its humongous home.

Everybody lying in the leaves making scary skeletons.

There are leaf fights in Hagley  Park.

Leaf tornados surrounding the football pitch.

Autumn Leaves

leaves playing and dancing on the pavement

Cold icy dirty leaves lying in the muddy pools

Wind banging into fences and walls
Frozen toes begging for warmth
Yellow and red leaves fall from the trees like fiery sparks
The wind swirls around the trees until the last leaf falls
Leaves on the trees are crabapple red
Apples falling  to the ground and feijoas forming on the trees
While trees dance swiftly from their soft orange bed!!!!

Autumn poem
The first autumn frost turns the grass a cold white
While trees dance swiftly from their brilliant height
Crispy bright leaves all orangey red
Form a crimson crackling crunchy bed
Green grass hidden by masses of leaves
Still floating off the now nakid trees
In front of the fire all cuddled up tight
I  watch the cool winds and the sunshine fight
The majestical autumness that shines ever so brightly
Also leaves me inside because boy the coldness is mighty

The Heart of Autumn Leaves turning ruby red, mandarin orange and coffee brown Leaves rustle in the wind Leaves swirl around the sky and fall to the ground A storm comes and brings a din Leaves rest in a mound By Abi and Emma

Autumn
By Zach

The wind brushes
Crunchy leaves
Off the trees.
Piles of ruby red
Sunshine yellow
Fiery orange
And coppery brown
Lay all over
The wind makes leaf tornadoes
That spin and dance
Along the ground
I love stepping
On the giant leaves
Crunch crunch crunch!
The sound is so satisfying!

Autumn Poem
By Felix Thompson

When the leaves change colours and the air turns cold
I see the time move saying that  Autumn has come.
Trees shine with gold and ruby red leaves like a soft  carpet to lay in.
The grass and paths made crunchy noises as dogs and people walked in.
Burning velvet red and blood orange brushing the landscape.
Beautiful blue skies with caramel hills.
The winds swirl nutty and undress the trees until the last leaf falls.

Autumn leaves

Autumn Trees
Fluttering in the breeze
Leaves chrome
Trees have been combed
Some of the leaves
Stolen by thieves
Some the more grander
Coated in amber
The old leaves are rusty
Some getting dusty
Others simply crinkly
The trunks are gnarled, wrinkly
All chestnut brown
But wearing a crown
Of amber, bronze, opals and chrome
A crown fit for Caesar, old ruler of Rome
So each tree grieves
For the loss of its leaves

Fires of  marigold and blood orange
April’s leaves are flying wild
And spill the scarlet rain
While the field wears
Her russet gown proudly
The sapling is clothed
in his foliage scarf
Caught in a breeze
flames of leaves dance blissfully
Brisk gales quiver daintily
Earthy perfumes envelope me
Autumn’s great symphony whistles
Sun kissed days are behind us
And winter’s frigid stare
On the horizon.
