The thunder storm
All is silent except the quiet murmuring of the trees.
The wind whistles it’s warning tune
that a storm is rolling down south,
a darkening cloud opens it’s gigantic mouth
and swallows up the sun.
A blanket of darkness falls upon the town,
as the light is drawn out of the sky.
A flash of lightning illuminates the sky,
and thunder claps it’s enormous hands,
followed by a downpour of rain.
All within a blink of an eye.
It happens so suddenly, in a dozen heart beats time.

The Storm
Ominous clouds roll in moodily
Dangerous eyes of lightning stare
Deceptive lies of sun speak gently
But only they can disclose those secrets
Powerful minds of darkness and light
See only greatness
But only will they cease
When the rain falls down heavily
Caring smiles envelope the sky
While the trees wave to passers by
When the wind stops howling and Screaming
There will be peace
There will be calm
And there will be solitude
No longer do I scream and shout when the Howling wind comes by
Oh yes I am still afraid but I do not
Ever hide.

Storm poem
A blanket not so warm covers the Sky.
It's like the wind is a giant
that is making a fort but we are in it.
The thunder rumbles in desperate cries.
It was peaceful.
Inside you can hear the rain jumping
like little feet on a second story.
Lightning so bright It can blind you.
You take a deep breath
You can hear the TV
and mumbling in the background.
You walk out to the deck and hear thunder welcoming you.
You scream and run back inside.
There are no birds chirping.
All you can hear is the wind, rain and thunder.

Storm poetry
-by Sebastian Low
Lightning strikes like the vexed eyes of the fury
The eerie silence that follows is deafening
Cold seeps through every space it can find
The stillness making everything move
Clouds steal the sun and plunge the earth in a gloomy darkness
Thunder grumbles like the booming voice of stress
Raindrops clear as glass shatter on the pavement
The cold breath of the storm whistles in and out of the trees
Dark dirt flies through the air like it has a mind of its own
Leaves smash into window shields as cars compete to get to their homes faster than others
Dogs bark into the howling evening wind
Families huddle close together in houses
Everyone wondering when it’s going to stop
Everything goes silent as the storm rolls in
Scared animals running into their homes to find shelter
Everything falls silent again
BOOM POW everybody starts to scream as the sky lights up with thunder and lightning
On the beach the waves crash to the shore line
In the rough see the boats try to keep afloat
Humongous waves crash against the deck
at shore people are trying to get out of the terrifying storm as fast as they can
