The Storm by Lucy

Read Lucy's amazing poem for your self. Great use of rhyming couplets Lucy.

  The Storm
Monstrous waves towering then crashing down hard
Rain buckets down flooding the yard
Rubbish is floating packet by packet
Gloomy dark clouds stretching out like a black blanket
Howling winds swirl leaves into the spine chilling air
Ripping through villages with no thought or no care
The crash of the lightning the boom of the thunder
The noise is so loud it's really a wonder
The tremendous whoosh and boom and splash
Then the creaking creaking until it's a CRASH!
The sky is all dark it's tummy is rumbling
Then down from the sky comes the hail its tumbling
Hailstones flick and they click they're a dinter
I'm no longer confused, I know it is winter!
